Around Crosspoint, our volunteers truly are at the heart of what we do.  Without our volunteers, God-glorifying, life-changing ministry just wouldn’t happen.  So why do our volunteers serve?  Why do they join Jesus in His invitation to be a part of a mission that is greater than themselves?

Why I LOVE it:  It is so very precious to see when kids get the ‘lightbulb moment’ of the lesson.  This is such an important time of their lives to teach about God’s love to them.  Becky shared an article with me about how the song “Jesus Loves Me” is so powerful and has all the basic elements of faith in it.  That spurred me on and excited me about teaching that song again AND with a renewed heart! 
 
Lesson: Recently…was going through some work turmoil of job uncertainty.  Craig and I were going to teach SonChasers that Sunday and it was a story on Moses.  Thankfully I had known the songs from VBS.  As the story unfolded about Moses bringing out God’s people and all that God did for them – suddenly between the kids coming up with things that God can help with in their lives, the VBS song popped into my head “He’s done it before, He’ll do it again….He is faithful, he is faithful” and peace filled me for that moment that regardless of what happened with my job…God’s got this and He has a plan!  (I can’t say I didn’t worry about it anymore after that….because I would be lying….but I can say that I didn’t stay in worry and this continued to pop up into my head throughout the weeks.)
