On a weekly basis in our Sunday program, we share evidences of God’s grace and work in the life of Crosspoint and our community. Below, are the evidences (January-March 2025) collected into one post. May these lead us to an attitude of thankfulness to and worship of our God who is at work, not only through us, but in us. You can read past evidences here.

Recently, we gave $6000 to the benevolence work of Heartline/Heart House in Eureka. With that gift and others like it, Heartline is able to help Woodford County residents with utility bills, rent payments, and other necessary items such as food and diapers. Thank you for being a church seeking to ‘show’ the gospel through our actions! James 2:15-17.

Yesterday, 12 Crosspointers arrived in Reynosa, Mexico to serve alongside Isaiah 55 Ministries for the upcoming week. We’re grateful for the gospel work Isaiah 55 has been doing in that region for years, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to join them in what the Lord is doing. Pray for the team of both adults and students as they work and serve unto the Lord. May they be a blessing to the mission there.

The Lord is causing the growth, and it is for His glory alone. Our fiscal/ministry year runs from September to August, so the end of February marks the halfway point. Our average Sunday attendance is 305 people. On average, 75 (25%) of those attendees are SonChasers (5th grade and under). Our weekly offering average is $11,500. May the Lord strengthen His church in this season, for the exaltation of His name alone.

A Crosspointer shared this recently, “When I don’t know what to read from the Bible, I read the upcoming verses [that we’ll be preaching from]. I get so much more from the service.” Each week, the passage that we’ll be preaching from is listed in the Wednesday connections email and on our Facebook page. As His Word goes out, it never returns void, and for that we give Him praise!

Recently a Crosspointer shared this, “I’ve been growing and learning so much the past month or so. I take time to use that Readers Guide To the Bible book that was in the bookcase in the back. I was actually chatting with a sister in Christ today and she’s reading through the Bible as well and we were talking that it would be nice to have someone to be accountable to.” Praise the Father who joins us as family, as we seek to follow the Son in faith, empowered with the Spirit.

We rejoice at Crosspointers, Elli Julius, Logan Flannery, and Julia and Becky Williamson who recently went public with their faith in Christ through baptism. What a joy to see siblings in Christ seeking to obey all that Jesus taught (Matthew 28:18-20), and publicly testifying to His goodness and grace in their lives! Praise God, for His Good News continues to change lives!

It is encouraging to see Crosspointers seeking to be equipped as missionaries. Currently, we have three Crosspointers, including a high school student, who are participating in the local Perspectives class (perspectives.org). They are already living on mission, and yet wanting to continue to grow. Praise God! May the Spirit continue to mobilize God’s people for God’s local global purpose.

We give the Lord of the Harvest thanks for how He is raising up workers to go out into His fields to join Him in a disciplemaking mission. Including servant leaders who are active in Hype student ministries. One leader mentioned this recently, “I am so impressed with the kids! The questions they ask and the sharing they do is awesome! I don’t think I would have asked questions like they do when I was their age.” Praise God for spiritual growth among the next generation.

How beautiful to see the Lord causing the growth and adding to the family of God through brothers and sisters in Christ committing to covenant membership.. We praise the Lord for His continued faithfulness in adding members to His Body, fellow branches to His vine, and living stones to the household He is building. Thank you Jesus, for being our Chief and Good Shepherd. Interested to learn more about membership? Talk to Pastor Dave S.

It is so encouraging to hear of Crosspointers who are seeking to dwell in the Word on a consistent basis in their life. From those who have been on a Bible reading plan for years, to those who just began one this month. The words of Scripture are alive and active, and so we rejoice when brothers and sisters are intentionally and prayerfully abiding in Jesus and His Word. May we grow in being anchored to the Word in the year ahead.

Each week, we invest 12% of our offering into missions. For instance, in 2024, thanks to the generosity of the Lord through His people (related to our Ethnos360 friends in PNG), we were able to support them in deepening relationships with our church through their physical visits, support them in their engagement with the Kuyu people, update aging electronics and equipment, cover practical needs for all 3 families, and get one step closer to teaching the first Kuyu people how to read and write in their own language.

The Hype leadership team is an evidence of the Lord’s grace. We love to see how these brothers and sisters are seeking to reach and prepare the next generation. They are helping students (6th-12th grade) live as followers of Jesus who abide, as a family that loves, as servants who serve, and as missionaries who show and tell of the gospel. Praise God these disciplemaking servant leaders!

Repentance of sin never ceases to be an evidence of His grace. When we humbly choose to change our minds about how we are living, and turn toward agreement with the Lord and His Word, the Lord is glorified. When that change of mind leads to an outward change of action, the Lord is glorified. As a new year begins, may the Lord give us hearts of tenderness toward Him, and His good and loving authority in our lives.
