“God has used the church at Crosspoint to root me in the truth of His grace for daily living. In my growing up and young adult years, the narrative that I learned around God and the Bible was that following the Bible and believing Jesus for salvation were important; but the power for daily living was mostly up to me to produce; and that following Jesus changed your outward behavior but didn’t affect your inward thoughts and attitudes too much. As I grew older, God exposed me to some more Christlike, grace filled people, books, radio content that drew me and left me wanting more for myself and my family.

Fast forward through some years, and God led me, my husband, and family to Crosspoint about 8 years ago. From the start, we could tell that this is a church rooted in Jesus – His life changing salvation and grace;  the Holy Spirit – His power and strength to enable us to follow Jesus and find the joy promised; and the Bible – its timeless truth as authoritative and applicable to our lives today. I am grateful for teaching that gives life and truth. For worship that confesses and praises God and draws my heart closer to God’s. For fellow believers and friends who also follow Jesus in everyday life, encourage me, and offer examples that I can look to. For a place to serve a cause that I wholeheartedly believe.

During the time we’ve been at Crosspoint, I’ve taken a job that has challenged me in ways that I didn’t expect. I’ve found myself in an environment with not many Christ followers, where the typical values and ways of working and communicating are often different from what Christ calls us to; yet I’ve sensed it’s the place God wants me to be for now, and I want to show His light and love there. God has really used the grace, truth, and Christ centered way of thinking that I’ve experienced at Crosspoint to give me what I’ve needed for this job.  He’s given me the roots to stay grounded in Christ, recognize the unhealthy patterns of thinking and being for what they are, and given me the “daily bread” to keep going.

God’s also used the things I’ve experienced here to strengthen my marriage, my parenting, and other relationships. While I know that there are other great churches, God-loving people, and solid teaching out there, I’m grateful for God’s leading me and my family to Crosspoint Community Church and what it’s meant for us and many others.”
