As we celebrate 20 years of ministry and mission as a church, we asked the church to share some testimonies of how the Lord has been at work as they have engaged in life at Crosspoint.

Be encouraged by what Maddy Garcia (Dave and Heather’s daughter) shares below…

“Crosspoint was my church home for over 22 years of my life. Growing up as a kid in the family of a church planter turned into pastor, childhood was full with the local church and serving in various capacities. The Lord was so kind to provide so many opportunities growing up to love and know God through a small town church setting.

Today, I sit here alongside my husband leading worship and shepherding high school students in our new church home in Minooka, IL feeling nothing but gratitude to the Lord who grew a spirit of tenderness for His local Body that started all those years ago when my parents answered the sacred call to start a church.

To my mom and dad, you were placed in Eureka 20 years ago for such a time as this. I watched you behind the scenes walk through so many seasons.

Of heartache. Of thanksgiving. Of plenty. Of not. People coming. People going. Of living room days. To storefront days. To middle school ones. To walking around this old construction building believing God would do something marvelous. And alongside a core group of people sitting in your congregation today who trusted Jesus with you through every season. Well done, good and faithful servants. Continue to run the race.

He goes before you for the next 20. He went behind you for the past 20. He is with you.
