On a weekly basis in our Sunday program, we share evidences of God’s grace and work in the life of Crosspoint and our community. Below, are the evidences (July-September 2023) collected into one post. May these lead us to an attitude of thankfulness to and worship of our God who is at work, not only through us, but in us. You can read past evidences here.

Recently we heard of a Crosspointer who is growing in prayerful boldness as they are on mission in their workplace. For years, they spoke of the Lord and their relationship with Him very little in their workplace, but over the past several months, they have been taking steps of faith to not hesitate in sharing the Lord’s goodness and grace in their life and that He deserves all the glory. Praise the Lord for His people who are growing in being driven to reach people with the gospel.
9/17
We rejoice at Crosspointers, Steve Mallory and William and Keiko Sauder, who recently have gone public with their faith in Christ through baptism. What a joy to see brothers and sisters in Christ seeking to obey all that Jesus taught (Matthew 28:18-20), and publically testifying to His goodness and grace in their lives!

Community Group leaders are an evidence of God’s grace. We’re grateful for their desire and willingness to care for others and foster a gospel-centered community, where we are growing in our application of the Bible, living as family, and being on mission together. We’re also very encouraged to see how those not yet connected to a group are taking a step of faith and trying out a group this fall. May the Lord strengthen and build our community with one another, and enable us to love one another well in the months ahead.

We are so encouraged and spurred on when we see fellow brothers and sisters in Christ walking by faith in the Lord and dependent upon the Spirit. Crosspointers, Sam and Allie Bachman, will be joining in with the launch of Partridge Point Community Church, a church plant in Metamora beginning this month. We love their desire to live on a mission to make disciples in the Metamora area. We are financially supporting this new work, and are grateful for the kingdom and gospel partnership we share as a fellow church.

20 years! Psalm 107:1-3a, Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim that he has redeemed them from the power of the foe and has gathered them from the lands…” What the Lord has begun 20+ years ago, He is faithful to continue by His grace, power and Spirit. May we look back with thankfulness, and look ahead with prayerful expectancy. Our God is able!

From Pastor Dave S., “Thank you church family for the abundant encouragement, love and grace you showed toward Heather and I during my summer sabbatical. Thank you for praying and interceding on our behalf. You all are an evidence of grace. It is a great joy to call Crosspoint home and be alongside you as family. The Lord was at work this summer both in our household and in the household of faith at Crosspoint, and for that we give Him thanks!”

As a new school year is upon us, we are so thankful for the many Crosspointers who have joined in the mission to bring glory to God by making disciples of Jesus of the next generation, through SonChasers (birth-5th grade) and Hype Student Ministries. We thank the Lord for our fellow servants of the Lord who are seeking to equip and prepare the next generation to be devoted to Jesus, dedicated to one another, and driven to reach people, together. Interested in joining in with the mission? Talk to Bailey Lewandowski or Kent Hinrichsen.

We are grateful for the guest preachers who have served the Lord here at Crosspoint this summer. Dan Loggans, Jeremy Kluth, Jon Bricker, Erik Johnson, Ryan Kennell, Tom Swanson, and our missionary friends with Ethnos360. These kingdom partners and friends have been a tremendous blessing as they have faithfully taught the living and active Word, which never returns void when it goes out.

The Crosspoint family is evidence of God’s grace. We praise God for the unity He has grown among the Elder Team & Staff and for the community that’s being strengthened all across this body of believers, especially as Pastor Dave Steinbeck is on sabbatical this summer. We continue praying for Dave and Heather – that the Lord will bring about spiritual refreshment and renewal in their lives in the weeks ahead.
7/23
When humility characterizes the flock of the Good Shepherd, it is an evidence of His grace! 1 Peter 5:5b says to us, All of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. From undershepherds (elders/pastors) to all of God’s people, may we joyfully welcome the shepherding of the Lord in our lives, for that leads to our good (Hebrews 13:17).
7/16
Eliza Denham is an evidence of God’s grace. We are grateful for her servant’s heart displayed through not only helping in our SonChasers children’s ministry, but also through the creating and sewing of blankets that we give to parents of new children. Eliza, like so many Crosspointers, does not serve for her glory, but the Lord’s, and we’re thankful for how she uses her gifts and talents for His purposes.
7/9
Mindy Stalter is an evidence of God’s grace. Mindy most certainly doesn’t serve in order to be recognized or mentioned. She serves and loves people, because she’s following Jesus who first served and loved us. We’re grateful for how she blesses others with things like food, her time, and her attention; and how David and her kids are active in this blessing as well. Praise God for Mindy, her family, and others, who are seeking to live out Jesus’ command to love one another.
