On a weekly basis in our Sunday program, we share evidences of God’s grace and work in the life of Crosspoint and our community. Below, are the evidences (January – March 2024) collected into one post. May these lead us to an attitude of thankfulness to and worship of our God who is at work, not only through us, but in us. You can read past evidences here.

We worship, love and serve the God of life! He is the God who brings death to life, that makes a way in the desert, and who is making all things new. So when we see evidences of new life…we see our God. From new life in the green of creation around us, or new life through the spiritual rebirth of people, or new life through children who are fearfully and wonderfully made, or new life in the restoration of broken relationships. Our God who beat death on the 3rd day is alive and at work!

Back in January, we offered a class on the Bible. So encouraging! Here are a few testimonies from that class: “We liked the short 2 week sessions. It made it easier to commit while still engaging. It was a good mid-week check in. We loved the information that Jon presented and made us want to dig further into the Bible.” “As I have been working on finding Jesus in the Old Testament more, this class helped emphasize and clarify that search. I am glad we are doing these classes to further our walk with God and each other!”
3/17
Back in January, we offered a class on family worship. So encouraging! Here are a couple testimonies from that class: “I loved hearing the foundations and parts of family worship. I also appreciated hearing how this looks for different households and different ages/stages of kids. It was very practical information to apply in my household.” “I was gathered with His bride, the church learning in community what it looks like to disciple and lead ourselves and little ones of various ages closer to Jesus.”

In Christ, we are made family. Adopted by our Heavenly Father, brought near by the sacrifice of the Son, and filled with the Spirit. What a joy to see brothers and sisters, seeking to live as a good family, through sharing of meals, serving one another, spurring one another on in the faith, praying on behalf of one another, and loving for Jesus has first loved us.
3/3
We worship a God who not only saves, but also sends out His saved people. Jesus has called us to go and make disciples of Him from our neighborhoods to the nations. We rejoice in how Crosspointers are living as Spirit empowered witnesses of Jesus, prayerfully seeking to reach their loved ones with the good news of Jesus. May the Lord increase those who are being saved and sent out!
2/25
We are so encouraged by the generosity of God’s people, and how Jesus, our Chief Shepherd, continues to provide for His church. Thank you fellow Crosspointers for how you are sowing into the kingdom of God and investing into the Lord’s work in and through His church. The Lord is able to do more than we ask for or imagine, and may it be for His glory in the church and throughout all generations (Ephesians 3:20-21).
2/18
What a blessing it is to see free disciplemaking resources taken by Crosspointers and used to encourage and equip us in the faith. From Bibles, to devotionals, to books, and other tools, we love when these move from a shelf in the Crosspoint building to the hands and lives of people who can use them. You can find these resources at Guest Connections, the Bibles and Books shelf near the couches, and near SonChasers check-in.
2/11
How encouraging it is to hear of Crosspointers who are actively engaged in a Bible reading plan, seeking to be anchored to the Word and dwelling in the Word of God richly as a way of life. Many began Bible reading plans in the New Year, and whether you’re still on track or have gotten off track, today is a great day to continue or start again. May we be people of the Word!
2/4
The sound of fellowship among the people of God is an evidence of grace. Brothers and sisters in Christ praying for one another, singing, greeting and introducing themselves, encouraging each other with their words, confessing of their sin to a faithful and forgiving God, laughing, sharing where the Lord is at work in their life bringing about growth. Father, thank you for these evidences of your goodness and grace!
1/28
How encouraging it was to nearly 80 Crosspointers engage in one of the recent Living 3D classes (‘Family Worship’ and ‘What is the Bible’). We are looking forward to the next round of classes (subjects tbd) coming up in April. May these teaching opportunities strengthen the Lord’s church and equip His people in living devoted to Jesus, dedicated to one another and driven to reach people with the gospel.

In 2023, we saw four households commit to covenant membership at Crosspoint. How encouraging to see the Lord causing the growth and adding to the family of God here. We praise the Lord for His continued faithfulness in adding members to His Body, fellow branches to His vine, and living stones to the household He is building. Thank you Jesus, for being our Chief and Good Shepherd.

A Crosspoint household who is engaged in community groups, recently shared this note… “Dave W, thank you for the time, energy and love you’re pouring into community groups! We have had truly valuable conversations around The StoryFormed Way book recently. Honest questions and insights that are challenging all of us to dig deeper. We are feeling grateful for this opportunity and grateful to be part of community groups.” Talk to Pastor Dave W. about getting involved in a group this semester.

Jesus has called us to go and make disciples of Him from our neighborhoods to the nations. We’re excited to add another ongoing missionary partner to our mission efforts. In December, we began supporting Mario and Keila Xoca, who pastor a local church in Reynosa, Mexico, and also serve and lead alongside the team at Isaiah 55 Ministries in Reynosa. It is a joy to link arms with gospel partners as we see churches planted and disciples made locally to globally.
