On a weekly basis in our Sunday program, we share evidences of God’s grace and work in the life of Crosspoint and our community. Below, are the evidences (July-September 2025) collected into one post. May these lead us to an attitude of thankfulness to and worship of our God who is at work, not only through us, but in us. You can read past evidences here.

Today, our mission team begins their travel to Papua New Guinea to put on a missions conference for our Ethnos360 friends and their teammates. Here’s the backstory to the trip: https://bit.ly/PNG2025. Be praying for the team over the next couple weeks as they travel and serve. Thank you church family for how you were so generous in your support for this trip. Over $29,000 was raised through summer VBS, and donations in and outside of Crosspoint! Glory to God!

We’re grateful for the Crosspointers engaged in leading community groups this fall. From those who have been doing it for years, to those who are stepping out and starting new groups, these brothers and sisters are an evidence of His grace. We’re thankful for their faith, hope and love and how they desire to help foster gospel-centered community among brothers and sisters in Christ.

On a monthly basis, we call ourselves to a monthly day of prayer and fasting. This occurs on the third Thursday of the month (next one is this week, September 18). Each month, we choose a particular theme or focus, and it has been so encouraging to see the people of God lean into this opportunity to express our dependence upon the Lord, including gathering with each other to pray on this day. May the Lord’s faithfulness be revealed through answered prayer.

Wow! Around 115 Crosspoint servants are engaged in some way through our ministry to children through SonChasers (birth-5th grade). Jesus, the Head of the Body, is forming together members of His Body to be on a disciplemaking mission to the next generation. We praise God for you all, and your faithfulness, availability, and teachable spirits. If you’re interested in joining the team, reach out to Pastor Dave Steinbeck (Bailey, our children’s ministry director is on maternity leave).

When the church loves one another not just in word, but in action, we rejoice! 1 John 3:18, Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth. Thank you church family for recognizing physical, emotional and spiritual needs in the family of God and seeking to love and serve one another well for the glory of our Father.

On July 18-20, Hype student ministries gathered with Eureka Bible for a summer retreat. Here are some encouraging evidences of grace during their time. Keil and Jenn Dossett sacrificed their weekend to help Hype in an emergent situation. Seeing a sixth grade boy take Bible study seriously by asking deeper questions to understand what he is reading for his devotions. High school students reading Scripture and praying before each session.

As a new school year is upon us, we are so thankful for the many Crosspointers who have joined in the mission to bring glory to God by making disciples of Jesus of the next generation, through SonChasers (birth-5th grade) and Hype Student Ministries. We thank the Lord for our fellow servants of the Lord who are seeking to equip and prepare the next generation to be devoted to Jesus, dedicated to one another, and driven to reach people, together. Interested in joining in with the mission? Talk to Bailey Lewandowski or Kent Hinrichsen.

We’re in a stretch of family services here in the summer (SonChasers resumes on 8/17). These gatherings have encouraging evidences of His grace in them. Such as prayer requests written on guest connection cards by kids, a Hype student offering to pray for an adult after the service, parents and their children singing alongside one another in worship, parents helping young ears listen to God’s Word, and more. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness in all generations!

What a blessing the Crosspoint Mowing Team is! For several years now, Crosspoint servants have been sharing the responsibility of mowing our property. We’re grateful for the behind the scenes ways they serve to bless the church and its ministries. They adapt to the weather and the schedules of ministry, and we’re grateful for Brian, Brian, Craig, Keil, Van, Chris, Eric, Eric, Bryce, and Mike. Interested in joining the team? Talk to Mike Troth.

We are so encouraged by how the Lord is using His Word to spur us all on. “The message on how we encourage others Sunday was exactly what I needed to hear. Work is challenging more than normal lately. Thankfully, I do have a few believer friends and we all try to encourage each other. However, being honest, it’s easy to say “you got this” vs reminding each other to pray and reinforce that God has a plan for all of us. I texted one of my believer friends yesterday and shared the message and reminded her that even though she is in a really tough spot, she isn’t alone. God has her, God has both of us, God has a plan and our job is to listen and obey and not negotiate with God, our job is to start with God vs only go to Him when we fail. God is in control.”

Jesus instructs us, in John 13:34-35, “I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Praise God for the ways we see and hear of Crosspointers living this out among the family of God. From within marriages and households, to community groups, to fellow servants among ministry teams.

A few weeks ago, our friends at Partridge Point Community Church in Metamora celebrated 8 baptisms! A mother and teen daughter, a husband and wife, and a family of four! Praise God for how the gospel continues to go out and change lives and generations. It is a joy to partner together in the broader Kingdom! We helped prayerfully and financially support Partridge Point when they launched as a church in 2023.

During some weeks in the summer (June 29-August 10, 2025), we gather as a church family on Sunday mornings and SonChasers (birth-5th grade) does not meet. We are thankful for the opportunity to gather alongside all generations, as we seek to be a people who are devoted to Jesus, dedicated to one another and driven to reach people.
