On a weekly basis in our Sunday program, we share evidences of God’s grace and work in the life of Crosspoint and our community. Below, are the evidences (October-December 2025) collected into one post. May these lead us to an attitude of thankfulness to and worship of our God who is at work, not only through us, but in us. You can read past evidences here.

Earlier this month, out of our dollars set aside for missions, we gave $2500 toward the work of Isaiah 55 ministries in Reynosa, Mexico (one of our existing partners). We are blessed to be a blessing to others. Kristy, their director, shared this in response: “Many thanks to you and the generous faithful at Crosspoint! We are so thankful for your partnership with us. It is a true joy to be your hands, feet, eyes and voice here in Reynosa until you are with us in person again. Please share our thanks to all of your congregation!”

An encouraging update from our missionary friends in PNG, “The first chapter of the Kuyu bible has been translated and checked by consultants! It’s a long and detailed process to get it to this point, but it is so rewarding to see the smiles on our Kuyu guys’ faces when they say, “This is God’s talk, and now it is in our language, and it sounds like how we talk. We start our first literacy class on Dec 22!”

Praise God for a faithful grandmother who’s discipling her grandchildren, bringing them alongside as she serves, and giving them opportunities to grow and serve in Jesus’ name. In 2 Timothy 1:5, Paul wrote this to a young Timothy, “I recall your sincere faith that first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and now, I am convinced, is in you also.” May the Lord be at work through faithful grandparents engaged in the mission of making disciples of Jesus.

The sights and sounds of fellowship among the people of God is an evidence of grace. Brothers and sisters in Christ praying for one another, singing, greeting and introducing themselves, encouraging each other with their words, confessing of their sin to a faithful and forgiving God, laughing, sharing where the Lord is at work in their life bringing about growth. Father, thank you for these evidences of your goodness and grace!

Over the last four weeks, during our missions month, we saw some encouraging evidences of God’s grace: children, students and adults staying for the Traveling Team lunch on 11/2 to be equipped; people taking free resources to encourage them in a heart for the nations; Crosspointers prayerfully considering ‘going’ (both short-term and long-term; young and old serving during the OCC packing party and collection week; God’s people praying for the Lord to raise up workers for His harvest!

At the end of October, we had over 50 Crosspointers engage with our class, Building Relationships Through Conflict (based on Ken Sande’s book, The Peacemaker). Here was one testimony from the class, “It was such a practical topic that can be so hard to navigate in a Christ-like manner. It helped me see conflict resolution with a new lens and moving forward I will be able to approach conflict more biblically and Christ-like. I’ve enjoyed the Living 3D classes! It’s great to do a mini deep dive in areas I may not otherwise be studying. It’s also wonderful to mix and mingle with Crosspointers!”

We’re thankful for the opportunity to both prayerfully and financially support Shepherd’s Gate Church plant in Peoria. We’re grateful to do that alongside the broader kingdom and various churches. In March 2025, we committed to invest $750/month toward this new work, and we will continue that support through to August 2027. Lord willing, they intend on launching Sunday mornings on March 1, 2026. To learn more about this church plant: sgcpeoria.com

We rejoice at Crosspointer, Megan Brown, who recently went public with her faith in Christ through baptism. What a joy to see siblings in Christ seeking to obey all that Jesus taught (Matthew 28:18-20), and publicly testifying to His goodness and grace in their lives! Praise God, for His Good News continues to change lives! Matt and Megan Brown also became covenant members of Crosspoint! Thank you Father for growing your family!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. It is a beautiful evidence of His grace when God’s people are pursuing to be a comfort and strength to one another in suffering and affliction.

1 John 1:7, But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. Praise God when His people believe and live out this truth. That in our sin, struggle or suffering, we do not move away from fellowship in the family, but lean into His grace and truth through His people. May we continue to walk as children of the light, for that is who we are (Ephesians 5:8)!

The gospel not only joins us to our triune God in relationship, but also with one another in His family. It is glorifying to our Father when His people take steps of faith. For instance, praying out loud for and with one another, opening our Bibles together to read and grow in our understanding of His Word, asking good questions of the text and asking the Spirit to guide us into truth, and spurring one another on to apply the Word to our daily lives.
10/5Colossians 3:17 calls God’s people to let the word of Christ dwell richly among you. Jesus prays in John 17:17, that we’d be sanctified by the Word that is truth. We are so encouraged to hear of Crosspointers who are not just desiring to know the Word better, but being intentional in that pursuit. Husbands and wives on the same reading plans in order to discuss the Word, parents reading with their children, and community group members dwelling in the Word in their time together.
