Evidences of God’s Grace: April-June 2026

On a weekly basis in our Sunday program, we share evidences of God’s grace and work in the life of Crosspoint and our community.  Below, are the evidences (April-June 2026) collected into one post. May these lead us to an attitude of thankfulness to and worship of our God who is at work, not only through us, but in us.  You can read past evidences here.

6/28

We rejoice at Crosspointers, Mason Stoller, Payton Flanary, and Cristina Wickert, who recently have gone public with their faith in Christ through baptism.  What a joy to see siblings in Christ seeking to obey all that Jesus taught (Matthew 28:18-20), and publicly testifying to His goodness and grace in their lives!  Praise God, for His Good News continues to change lives!

6/21

Today, we celebrate Father’s Day.  Godly fathers are an evidence of God’s grace.  Men who are seeking to have a growing faith in Jesus and a growing humility in Him as well.  Men who are seeking to live under the good and loving authority of Christ, and reflect our Heavenly Father to the generations that follow and the world that surrounds them.  Lord, may you raise up a movement of Christlike men who will live for your glory alone, as a way of life and in all that they do.

6/14

Yesterday, 12 Crosspointers arrived in Reynosa, Mexico to serve alongside Isaiah 55 Ministries for the upcoming week.  We’re grateful for the gospel work Isaiah 55 has been doing in that region for years, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to join them in what the Lord is doing.  Pray for the team of both adults and students as they work and serve unto the Lord. May they be a blessing to the mission there.

During the week of VBS, we will continually see evidence of God’s grace at work.  We see it in the servants that gather to show and tell of the love of Jesus and His Good News.  We see it in the children who will walk in our doors.  We see it in the creativity of the team as they transform the building into a fun and inviting environment.  We see it in the ways the Word goes out!  May the Lord cause the growth through the faithful planting and watering of the gospel (1 Corinthians 3).

5/31

We’re thankful to hear of a handful of men choosing to gather on a weekly basis to encourage each other in the faith.  To talk honestly about their hearts and lives, to pray together, and to pursue growth in Jesus, alongside one another.  May these men and the men of Crosspoint, pursue to live out 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 which says, Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong. Do everything in love.

5/24

We’re thankful for the opportunity to both prayerfully and financially support Shepherd’s Gate Church plant in Peoria. We’re grateful to do that alongside the broader kingdom and various churches. We currently invest $750/month toward this new work and Lord willing, will continue that support through August 2027.  To learn more about this church plant: sgcpeoria.com

5/17

We rejoice in how God’s people, in a variety of ways, live out the truth of 1 Peter 4:10-11. Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God. If anyone speaks, let it be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, let it be from the strength God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

5/10

On this Mother’s Day, we thank the Lord for the faithful and Jesus-following women in our lives.  In 2 Timothy 1:5, Paul wrote this to a young Timothy, “I recall your sincere faith that first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and now, I am convinced, is in you also.”  Many of us are following Jesus today, because the women before us (mothers, grandmothers, aunts, teachers, church members) showed us and told us what it meant to trust in Jesus.  Thank you Lord for this evidence of your grace!

Thus far, the Lord has provided through the generosity of His people, over $1.1 million dollars in pledges toward the vision of Rooted!  Praise God!  James 1:17 tells us that every good and perfect gift is from above, and so it is humbling and deeply encouraging to see the people of God responding to the Spirit and seeking to store up treasure in Heaven.  We praise our Lord for your love, sacrifice, faith, obedience and wisdom.  Not to us, oh Lord, not to us, but for your glory alone.

4/26

We’re grateful for Crosspointers who have medical training, skills and knowledge, serve to meet medical needs and respond when questions or situations arise as the church gathers on Sunday mornings.  What a gift of love and wisdom these brothers and sisters are, as we seek to love one another well in both word and in deed.

4/19

How encouraging to see believers prayerfully commit to covenant membership in His local church.  Welcome Hunter Miller, Ryan and Briana Flannery, and Ben and Shannon Pittenger!  We praise the Lord for His continued faithfulness in adding members to His Body, fellow branches to His vine, and living stones to the household He is building.  Thank you Jesus, for being our Chief and Good Shepherd.  Talk to Pastor Dave S. to learn more about membership.

4/12

“How joyful is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered!…When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long…Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not conceal my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin.” Psalm 32:1,3,5.  Praise God for when and how His people confess sin to one another, and in doing so are moving toward freedom and joy in Christ!

On this Easter Sunday, we rejoice in the truth that thanks be to the gospel of God’s grace, we have been raised to life in Him, and the truth of Ephesians 2 has come to pass in our lives.  “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might display the immeasurable riches of his grace through his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For you are saved by grace through faith…”
