One of the mission organizations that we support at Crosspoint is Isaiah 55 Deaf Ministries in Reynosa, Mexico. HYPE currently helps support two deaf students who are involved in the schools. One of the missionaries that we’ve sent out are Darren and Jane Freidinger and their two girls, who serve full-time with Isaiah 55. Over the past couple years, we’ve sent two mission teams down to Reynosa to serve and join them in their mission. In short, this is an organization that we love, and have built relationships with their staff over the years.
We are excited about sending another work team down in March 2014. The dates will be Saturday, March 22 through Saturday, March 29. This is the week of District 140’s Spring Break. Costs for 2014 trips are yet to be determined. For those parents who would consider bringing children, we’ve had grade school children and older be a part of trips in the past.
For now, we’d ask you to begin to pray and consider being a part of this trip. A mission trip will cost you your time and money…AND it will change your life. I can tell you from experience, that it will be a life experience that you will not regret. From the work, to the friendships built, to seeing the Lord impact and grow your faith.
If you have interest in going, please email Dave at dave@crosspointcc.org, and we will begin gathering a list of names. Due to space limitations at Isaiah 55’s dorms, there will be a maximum number that will be able to attend. I can already tell you that four Steinbeck’s will be going! 🙂
