Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
2 Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

1 Thessalonians 2:13: This is why we constantly thank God, because when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you welcomed it not as a human message, but as it truly is, the word of God, which also works effectively in you who believe.
John 17:17: Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
Psalm 119:16: I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.
Lord, grow our desire to abide and dwell in your Word as a daily rhythm to our lives. We confess there are a host of other things that our hearts are drawn to, and that compete for our attention. Remind us of their lesser nature, and in turn remind us that your Word is greater. We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
