Who:
Men, you’re invited. Post high school age and up!
What:
Book groups, where 2-4 men will gather on a consistent basis to discuss the content of solid books to help us learn and grow as disciples. We’ll be reading the book, Work: Its Purpose, Dignity, and Transformation.
When/Where:
Each individual group of 2-4 men will set their own schedules on when and where they will meet (i.e.: early mornings, lunch times, later in the evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, etc.). It is anticipated that the groups will meet 10 times (there are 10 chapters), and they will meet roughly every two weeks. (finishing up in July).
Why:
Because we’ve been called toward community with one another, as we follow Jesus. In the fall of 2019, we started our first wave of ‘book groups,’ and saw 25 men engage in various groups (we read this book). We’re prayerful that this form of a community group might grow and help us in our mission of making disciples of Jesus who live 3D together. We’ll be reading another book (tbd) in the fall, and shooting to do this twice every year.
Next Steps:
- If you’re interested in being a part of a group and/or leading and coordinating one, contact Dave (dave@crosspointcc.org).
- If you’re going to be in a group, get on Amazon and get the book ordered asap. Cost is around $15 a book. If you don’t have a way of securing the book, let Dave know.
- Invite other men to join you.
