1 Peter 4:10 –  “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”

As I was talking to another Crosspointer this last week, I was reminded of a great time of challenge for our family.  I know we all have those challenges.  Some are small and some are big.  I was thinking of the challenge in our household when it seemed all life stopped for the 2 to 3 months while Tiff was sick.  Nothing else seemed to matter during it.  We relied on God, each other and a lot of family and friends.

We were so thankful for the time and energy that others served us with.  Most importantly we were reminded how important it is to be there for others.  We are the body of Christ and we know the Bible says (and we say at Crosspoint) we should practice the “One Another’s.”

Take a few moments to slow down this week or weekend.

Is there anyone (in your community group, family, church, neighborhood) who you could serve this week?

Take them a meal, help mow their yard, babysit their kids, pray with them…

I know Tiff and I were very thankful for those who served us!

Galations 5:13 – “For you were called to freedom, brothers.  Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for flesh, but through love serve one another.”
